What is CAPTCHA?
A CAPTCHA system is a type of challenge-response test used in computing to ensure that the response is not generated by a computer. The process involves the server asking a user to complete a simple test which the computer is able to generate and grade. Because other computers or bots are unable to solve the CAPTCHA, any user entering a correct response is presumed to be human. The StoreSecured CAPTCHA system requires the user to enter a series of distored letters and/or digits that appear on the screen.
How does it help me?
The CAPTCHA serves to try and reduce the amount of spam received from bots submitting forms automatically.
Where is this used?
The CAPTCHA system is currently used on the newsletter signup, save cart and send to a friend pages. These pages were selected because they initiate an email and have the potential to be abused by bots.
