Scheduled Maintenance 10/25 11:00pm

StoreSecured will be performing an upgrade to our firewall and load balancer this Friday 10/25 between 11:00pm-11:59pm Pacific Time.   The downtime will last approximately 15-45 minutes during the maintenance window.


During the maintenance

All services will be inaccessible for approximately 15-45 minutes during the maintenance  including email, ftp,  store management and stores.  All services will be put back online promptly as soon as the maintenance is completed.


Why is the upgrade required?

We are upgrading capacity in preparation for the busy holiday shopping season including doubling the memory and increasing the network capacity for the firewall and load balancer appliances and adding the ability to automatically add additional on demand capacity as needed during peak times.

New Feature: Ship Items Separately

All stores now include the ability to ship items separately.  This feature is useful for very large items which are always shipped in their own box.  If an item is marked for separate shipping the real time shipping calculator will always calculate the shipping price separately for that item.

Order example

6 spatulas, .5 pound each

2 mixers, 10 pounds (ships separately)


The shipping calculation would include 1 package at 3 pounds (6 spatula’s) and 2 packages at 10 pounds each (mixer’s).  The total of the 3 packages would be the final shipping price shown to the shopper.

Resolved: Error was temporarily occuring on some admin pages

The issue was resolved as of 9:30 am PDT.  An internal connection was missing from our hosting setup after the move.  This has now been found and corrected.  The issue affected only certain areas of the admin area and did not affect any stores or other services.  We will be performing a quick maintenance period of 5-10 mins downtime tonight at approximately 10:00 pm PDT to reboot the servers to apply a permanent fix for the issue that occurred this morning.


We are currently experiencing problems on certain areas of the store admin area since the server move.  Our team is actively engaged in troubleshooting the issue.  The error you will see looks like​

A network-related or instance-specific error occurred while establishing a connection to SQL Server. The server was not found or was not accessible. Verify that the instance name is correct and that SQL Server is configured to allow remote connections. (provider: SQL Network Interfaces, error: 26 – Error Locating Server/Instance Specified)

We are actively working on the issue and it should be resolved shortly.  All customer stores are operating as normal and this issue is only affecting some areas of the store back end.

Maintenance Completed

Current Status

The maintenance is now completed and all services are currently online and working as normal.



8:30 pm PDT

Maintenance started and all devices were powered down and all services are now offline.

9:00 pm PDT

Servers are physically being transported to the new data center.

10:40 pm PDT

The servers have been moved and turned on.  Testing is now in process.

11:05 pm PDT

All services are now fully functional and maintenance is completed.
