The issue was resolved as of 9:30 am PDT. An internal connection was missing from our hosting setup after the move. This has now been found and corrected. The issue affected only certain areas of the admin area and did not affect any stores or other services. We will be performing a quick maintenance period of 5-10 mins downtime tonight at approximately 10:00 pm PDT to reboot the servers to apply a permanent fix for the issue that occurred this morning.
We are currently experiencing problems on certain areas of the store admin area since the server move. Our team is actively engaged in troubleshooting the issue. The error you will see looks like
A network-related or instance-specific error occurred while establishing a connection to SQL Server. The server was not found or was not accessible. Verify that the instance name is correct and that SQL Server is configured to allow remote connections. (provider: SQL Network Interfaces, error: 26 – Error Locating Server/Instance Specified)
We are actively working on the issue and it should be resolved shortly. All customer stores are operating as normal and this issue is only affecting some areas of the store back end.
