We’re excited to announce a new feature that provides greater control over the availability of free promotional items when backorders are placed!
What’s New:
You now have the flexibility to enable or disable backordering for free promotional items. This means you can choose how these items are handled when stock runs out:
Enabled Backordering (Default):
Customers can still receive the full amount of free promotional items even if they’re out of stock at the time of purchase. Backordered items will be shipped once they become available again. This option ensures customers receive all promotional benefits, regardless of stock levels.
Disabled Backordering:
Customers will only receive free promotional items if they are currently in stock. This option allows for tighter inventory control and avoids overpromising on unavailable items.

Default Setting:
By default, backordering for promotional free items is already ENABLED.
How to Disable Backordering:
If you prefer to disable backordering for promotional free items, simply follow these steps:
1. Navigate to General > Inventory Settings.
2. Go to the Stock Management section.
3. Select “DISABLE Backordering for Promotional Free Items”.
4. Click Save.
